  • Bhasyas (commentary on Brahma Sutra Basya and many of the Upanishads )
  • Prakarana granthas (philosophical treatises like Vivekachudamani, Upadesasahasri and many others)
  • and Stotras (including Bhaja Govindam, Sivananda Lahiri, Soundarya Lahiri, Kanakadhara Stotram and many others).

  • The Sanskrit scholars at Vedabhoomi have recorded Ishavasyopanishat (Isa Upanishad), Kathopanishat (Katha Upanishad) and Taittiriyopanishat (Taittiriya Upanishad) among Sri AdiSankara's Bhasyas.

    Ishavasya Upanishad from Sukla Yajurveda:

'This world is Whole. That World is Whole. From Whole comes the Whole. If you take away Whole from Whole, what remains is Whole.'
One of the shortest Upanishads, the Ishavasya Upanishad is significant amongst the Upanishads for its description of the nature of the supreme being (Ish).

    Katha Upanishad from Krishna Yajurveda:

'Arise, awake, and learn by approaching the exalted ones, for that path is sharp, impassable, and hard to go by, say the wise.'
Katha Upanishad tells the timeless story of Nachiketa, son of sage Vajasravasa, and his encounter with Yama, the Lord of death. It is one of the mukhya Upanishads with two chapters (adhyayas), each divided into three sections (vallis).

    Taittiriya Upanishad from Krishna Yajurveda:

'May we be protected together. May we be nourished together. May we work vigorously together. And may our studies illuminate us. May there be no dislike between us. Let there be peace, peace, peace.'
Taitirriya Upanishad is one of the ten oldest and prime Mukhya Upanishads, also called the Dashopanishads. It describes the various degrees of happiness enjoyed by the different beings in creation. The Taittiriya Upanishad is divided into three sections or vallis, the Siksha Valli, the Brahmananda Valli and the Bhrigu Valli. Each Valli is further subdivided into anuvakas or verses.
